I don't even know where to begin discussing with you guys how much I am still in love with Ashlee & Leifs wedding. I guess I should start out by telling the story of how I met them. Well, I happened to be browsing Facebook one day, and I noticed a post from a fellow photographer/friend named Jaime, that stated a client of hers had a friend who was in search of a wedding photographer and since she would not be available the day of their wedding, she was trying to search for someone else who could be of help. To be honest, at first I just read it, and didn't really pay it too much attention, but then I thought, "What the heck" and decided to write Jaime and get their contact info.
Once I got in touch with Ashlee over the phone, I instantly became over the moon excited for their wedding. She was such a delight to talk to, and seemed so sweet and nice. She had also informed me that she was pregnant, and I just knew that their wedding was going to make for the cutest pictures! I met with both Ashlee and Leif a couple days after the phone call at a coffee shop, where I learned how they met. Ashlee is the perfect story teller in my opinion, because she does not leave out a single detail, and I loved it, haha. Leif on the other hand, kept giving her the side eye as far as the amount of detail she was going into hahaha. Aside from that, they also gave me all the details of their DIY wedding... Not to mention they were a really good looking couple. Haha..
I have to admit, I was a little worried about shooting their wedding because by the middle of the actual ceremony, it was set to be pretty pitch black dark outside. The venue for their wedding was located in a Garden over in Jeffersonville,IN. It reminded me of a location in Alice in Wonderland.
All in all, even though I had only known them a very short amount of time, I could go on and on about how happy I am to have come into contact with Ashlee and Leif and how much I loved their wedding. Their wedding party, their families, and their guest were all so warm and welcoming to me, and I just want to thank them ALL for that.
