Demario & Brooke: Engaged

Demario and Brooke are getting married next month on July 21, 2012. It was very spur of the moment for them to book me for their wedding and I'm glad that they did! Brooke got my number from my friend Amanda, who owns the Act one Step Too dance studio, that Brooke recently signed her daughter up for. She called me at the beginning of this month, and instantly booked me. Thanks Amanda! I asked Brooke what she and Demario like to do on days that they get to spend alone, and she told me that since he isn't much of a talker, they have date night at the movies. I gave them the idea of having their engagement session at the movie theatre and she agreed. However, that meant that I would then have to ask one of the local theaters for their permission. Sadly, I am extremely terrified to ask anyone for favors, let alone permission to photograph in their place of business. It took me about 4-5 days to work up the courage to ask. The theater that I chose was Rave 16 over in the preston area. Thankfully, their managers were so nice, and allowed us to use their location. Brookes 2nd location of choice was 4th street, since she loves the downtown scene. I had a lot of fun photographing and getting to know these two, and can't wait to capture their special day next month. Enjoy!

Rich & Whitney: Engaged

It's time for you guys to meet my August 25, 2012 couple, Rich and Whitney. We had a long day of engagement shooting that began with me meeting them at Cherokee Park. Cherokee Park is such a beautiful place, and if any of my couples are going to choose a park, this one is on the top of my list. Whitney and Rich were easy to photograph. Once they got comfortable I didn't have to tell them what to do at all, which I loved. After our park session, we parted ways for about 4-5 hours, and met up later in the evening at waterfront park in downtown Louisville,KY, to get some awesome shots with the sun in the background. The waterfront session is probably my favorite of the two locations that they chose. I had a lot of fun with their engagement session, and after it was over, I felt as though they felt very comfortable with me, and vice versa. I can't wait until their big day. But for now, enjoy the photos from their engagement session!
